FAQ

  • What do I wear to an appointment?
You should wear comfortable style clothing. Women may want to wear yoga pants and men will want to wear shorts or sweat pants.
  • What should I expect at my initial appointment?
On your visit, a complete health history, your current conditions and treatment will be discussed. A physical assessment/postural exam will be done followed by treatment. Review and discuss the findings of the assessment and propose a treatment plan. The frequency of treatments is based on your assessment. Adequate time between visits is required to allow your body to integrate the changes that occur from one treatment to the next.
  • Do you do direct billing with insurance companies ?
I am an active member of the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO). Most private and extended health benefit (EHB) plans cover the cost in whole or part, of osteopathic services specifically provided by OAO members. It is recommended that patients contact their EBH provider to see if they have coverage for osteopathy. Currently there are no insurance companies accepting direct billing for osteopathic treatment. I will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to you insurance company for reimbursement.
  • What payment methods are accepted?
I accept cash, cheque or e-transfers at the time of treatment. There is no OHIP coverage for osteopahic services.
  • Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No referral is reqiured for osteopathic treatment.
